Sheraden is an IVF nurse, mother of three girls, and the creator behind Kaia Birth.

She began teaching birth education in 2020 after the birth of her first daughter. After years of educating families, teaching hypnobirthing, and supporting women through labour and birth, Sheraden gained a clear understanding of what modern parents truly want and need to feel prepared, confident, and empowered.

That experience led to the creation of the Kaia Birth course you see today — a modern, evidence-based, non-biased birth education experience designed to support families through every type of birth journey.

Amy is a mum, Registered Nurse, and Registered Midwife with experience in Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) and fertility nursing. She has supported women and families across the full journey; from preconception through to pregnancy, birth, and postnatal .

Her time in MGP has shaped her passion for building trusting relationships and providing personalised, woman-centred care, while her experience in fertility nursing has given her a deep understanding of the emotional and clinical complexities of the path to parenthood.

Known for her calm, approachable nature, Amy is passionate about supporting families with confidence and compassion through this important chapter of life.

"My decision to start Up the duff Doula Support comes from a place of genuine compassion, lived experience and a deep desire to make a difference. I’m driven by a vision of what birth could look like when women are fully supported, respected and empowered.  

 I’ve witnessed the gaps in the medical system and have seen too many women and their families fall through them, not given the support and care that is so deserved.  

 I also believe that early support continuing throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond can greatly change the trajectory of a woman's experience, her and her partners bond with their baby and their long term well-being."

Hi, I’m Alice — aka The Modern Doula - bringing you a modern, no-fluff, and deeply practical approach to pregnancy & birth. You won’t find me charging crystals under a full moon, burning sage sticks or dehydrating placentas (not that there’s anything wrong with that — it’s just not my style!).

As a certified birth and postpartum doula, Optimal Maternal Positioning educator and Kaia Birth Educator, I’m obsessed with helping couples stack every controllable factor in their favour for a positive birth. I love working with the body — understanding how movement, positioning and awareness can support the natural mechanics of labour, and working with our mind to overcome our limiting beliefs. My teaching blends ancient techniques with evidence, real talk and practical tools so women (and their partners!) know how birth works, why it works, and what they can actually do to influence it for a positive outcome.

Outside of the birth world, I’m a 5:15am-Pilates-girlie, an ocean-swim-addict, and mum to my two gorgeous girls — the heartbeat behind everything I do.
