I have supported many woman and families through the journey of birth. Including vaginal birth after caesarean, high risk induction, natural water births and virtual home birth guidance.

I’m a doula in Newcastle & Hunter region, here to support women and their  families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. 

My journey into birth work began when I witnessed my sister give birth at the age of 12 - an experience that left me completely in awe of the strength and power of women. Since then I’ve always felt called to support people during life’s most transformative moments. 

I’m here to break the myth that Doula’s are for a certain “type” of person. A doula is for anyone - because every woman deserves unwavering support, no matter what her journey looks like. 

The experience you have throughout pregnancy and birth can have a lasting impact on how you step into motherhood - physically, emotionally and mentally. It can shape your confidence, your sense of self and the way you bond with your baby. That’s why having the right support around you matters and that is why my goal is to help families thrive rather than survive. 

Hi, I’m Alice — aka The Modern Doula - bringing you a modern, no-fluff, and deeply practical approach to pregnancy & birth. You won’t find me charging crystals under a full moon, burning sage sticks or dehydrating placentas (not that there’s anything wrong with that — it’s just not my style!).

As a certified birth and postpartum doula, Optimal Maternal Positioning educator and Kaia Birth Educator, I’m obsessed with helping couples stack every controllable factor in their favour for a positive birth. I love working with the body — understanding how movement, positioning and awareness can support the natural mechanics of labour, and working with our mind to overcome our limiting beliefs. My teaching blends ancient techniques with evidence, real talk and practical tools so women (and their partners!) know how birth works, why it works, and what they can actually do to influence it for a positive outcome.

Outside of the birth world, I’m a 5:15am-Pilates-girlie, an ocean-swim-addict, and mum to my two gorgeous girls — the heartbeat behind everything I do.
